Having problems logging in to QYN?
Lost your password?
This page provides a tool to reset your password if you've forgotten it and information on how to alter your web browser settings which might be preventing you from logging in (or staying logged in) to the site.
I've forgotten my password...
You will need to reset it. To do this, click on the Lost Password link found on the log in page. This is really easy and won't take long.
I've forgotten my username...
Before you register a new account, firstly check your email (or do a search in your inbox) to see if you still have the sign-up/welcome email from us (it will have come from info@queeryouth.net) and will contain your username. If you still don't know your username and password email us for support at info@queeryouth.net
Help! - I can't log in
If you are having problems logging in to QYN or you simply can't stay logged in then this short guide should help you get it fixed. Since we launched Version 5.0 Beta there have been a number of small bugs, mainly affecting logins. We are constantly working to resolve these issues but some of these problems are best fixed at your end and shouldn't take long.
Firstly, change your web browser security and privacy settings (if you're using internet explorer go to Tools > then > Internet Options) to medium, add queeryouth.org.uk and lgbtyouth.org to the 'trusted sites' list. Also enable 'Third Party Cookies' (this is because we have several servers owned by ourselves and you may sometimes be looking at information from either but browsers are cautious about this in-case nasty advertisers are spying on you, this is not the case. Then clear your Internet Cache, Temporary Internet Files, All Cookies and Temporary Cookies, etc, close your browser then try logging in again.
Try logging-in without the 'Remember' box ticked and see if this makes any difference. If this doesn't work and you have access to another computer try logging in from there to find out if it's an issue with your computer or our database.
If that doesn't work then you will need to register a new account (this should in theory work!) call it something like "Username2" then we'll simply copy all your old profile info over and link it up to your posts/messages etc.
Once you've managed to log in change your password. If you still can't log in please email us for further support info@queeryouth.net and we will do our very best to get you back in!

About our Security
Security and your privacy is important to us at the Queer Youth Network so all passwords are encrypted when you register. This means that we cannot email your password to you as we hold no record of your 'uncrypted' password. You can however, apply to have your password reset.
We store all member information in a secure, encrypted database at our data centre in London which is backed up on a regular basis. None of the information you provide is ever shared with a third party and never will be without your consent.
